We know you need something to do with your little ones today and we are here to help with a free download.
This freebie based on the classic book Brown Bear by Bill Martin Jr/ Eric Carle, is a book extension, sensory activity that will keep the learning going after the story ends!
Here’s how to use it:
- Download and cut out the printables. We recommend printing on cardstock and laminating for durability.
- Place the carrots in a bin of any sensory item (such as: rice, beans, dirt, packing peanuts, aquarium rocks). We used shredded paper. Easter grass works great too!
- Place the printable Brown Bear next to the bin.
- Read the book with your little one.
- Show him the sensory bin and the Brown Bear.
- Take turns saying “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?”
- Pull out a carrot to find out what Brown Bear sees.
- Repeat until done.
- For a variation, you can print two of each carrot and make it a memory game!

P. S. Need Supplies?
Find shredded paper here.
These make great as sensory bins!
