Halloween learning fun!

October 27, 2020

One perk to being on our email list is that you get access to any freebies we may create first! We sent these cuties out earlier to our email list and now we are sharing them here. Not on our email list? Join here and also get a free week of preschool lessons. Don’t miss out.

What is your Halloween looking like this year? We know for some families it may be a bit different. We want to help make your Halloween week amazing. Different doesn’t have to mean less fun.

Here are a couple fun learning activities to do with your little pumpkin!

Feed the Jack-o’-Lantern!

Practice letters, shapes, and numbers and have fun while doing it with this printable.

How to use:

Prepare:

Cut out the printable and laminate if desired (recommended). Set the candy out or place it in a sack to draw from. Attach the Jack-o’-lantern to the opening of a tissue box or another container (we used a small plastic jar) with tape.

Play:

Let your child pick a candy and identify the number, shape, or letter they picked. “Feed” the jack-o’-lantern. You can try making the feeding even more fun by making gobbling noises. Repeat till all the candy has been identified and fed.

We recommend only working on one skill at a time to avoid confusion (letters, shapes, or numbers).

And… We have more for you.

Halloween Patterns

Pattern recognition is an important preschool skill. The next printable will help your child recognize an AB pattern and get some cutting practice. Print it out, find a cozy spot and help your little one complete the exercise.

Help your little one cut off the choices on the bottom and then place the answers in the last column. You can choose to have them glue or tape the answer in place, or if you would like to use it multiple times, you may wish to laminate it make it attach with velcro.

Find this helpful? We would love to be tagged on social media when you use it. We think it is so fun to see your little ones enjoying our products.

Wishing you the best Halloween ever!

P.S.

It may be October, but it is not too late to start teaching Preschool or TotSchool to your little one. We would love to help make teaching an easy and rewarding experience for you! Try a free week of lessons and join our email list.
